TOKYO, Japan - Medical Corporation Yubikai and Casa de GRACIA GINZA (Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will hold "RIBXCAR TAKES TOKYO 3rd Edition," a two-day intensive seminar for physicians on the body contouring techniques RIBXCAR (Rib Remodeling) and FRONTXRIB (Anterior Rib Contouring), on December 2 (Wed) and 3 (Thu), 2026. The main instructor will be Dr. Takao Higuchi, Chairman and Director General of Medical Corporation Yubikai and Official Ambassador of AX Asia (Aesthetic Xpert Scientific Lab Asia). In addition, Dr. Raul Manzaneda Cipriani, a plastic surgeon from Peru and one of the developers of these techniques, will travel to Japan to serve as guest instructor.
■ ～RIBXCARとFRONTXRIBを2日間で集中的に～
本セミナーは、2日間を通して、肋骨リモデリング術「RIBXCAR」と前肋骨形成術「FRONTXRIB」の2手技に絞り込み、解剖学的知識の整理から手技の設計、症例選択基準、リスク管理までを段階的に学べる内容です。座学とハンズオン、そして臨床現場での実際の手技指導を組み合わせることで、参加医師が新技術を「知る」だけでなく「安全かつ効果的に実践できる」レベルまで到達することを目指します。
Over the two days, the curriculum concentrates on just two techniques, RIBXCAR (Rib Remodeling) and FRONTXRIB (Anterior Rib Contouring), covering anatomical fundamentals, surgical design, case selection criteria and risk management in a step-by-step manner. By combining lectures, hands-on training and direct instruction in a real clinical setting, the program aims to take participating physicians beyond simply "knowing" the technique to a level where they can "practice it safely and effectively."
■ メインインストラクター：樋口隆男 医師（AX Asia 公式アンバサダー）
本セミナーのメインインストラクターを務めるのは、医療法人優美会の理事長・総院長であり、AX Asia の公式アンバサダーを務める樋口隆男医師です。樋口医師は福岡大学医学部卒業後、18年間にわたり呼吸器外科医として1,500例以上の手術を経験。オーストラリア・アルフレッド病院でのクリニカル・リサーチフェローとしての留学を経て博士号を取得後、美容外科へ転身しました。現在までに10,000例以上の脂肪吸引と4,000例超の豊胸手術を手がけ、日本美容外科学会でのシンポジウム登壇など、学会活動にも継続的に取り組んでいます。国内でRIBXCARの症例を重ねてきた立場から、アジア人の骨格・体型を踏まえ、日本の臨床現場に合わせた指導を行います。
The main instructor is Dr. Takao Higuchi, Chairman and Director General of Medical Corporation Yubikai and Official Ambassador of AX Asia. After graduating from the Fukuoka University School of Medicine, Dr. Higuchi spent 18 years as a thoracic surgeon, performing more than 1,500 surgeries. Following a period as a Clinical Research Fellow at The Alfred Hospital in Australia and the completion of his doctorate, he moved into aesthetic surgery. To date he has performed over 10,000 liposuction procedures and more than 4,000 breast augmentation procedures, and he continues to take part in academic activities, including presentations at symposia of the Japan Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Drawing on the RIBXCAR cases he has accumulated in Japan, and taking Asian skeletal structure and body proportions into account, he will deliver instruction suited to the Japanese clinical setting.
■ ペルーから Dr. Raúl Manzaneda Cipriani 氏が講師として来日
講師として来日する Dr. Raúl Manzaneda Cipriani 氏は、南米ペルーを拠点に各国で技術指導を行う美容外科医であり、RIBXCAR および FRONTXRIB の開発者のひとりです。「美しいボディラインは脂肪の量だけでなく、骨格構造によって決定される」という考えに基づき、肋骨の形状にアプローチする手法を確立しました。同氏のInstagramアカウント（@drmanzaneda）のフォロワー数は200万人を超え、各国の美容外科医に向けて症例や術式に関する情報発信を行っています。今回は、開発者本人から直接指導を受けられる機会となります。
Dr. Raul Manzaneda Cipriani, who will travel to Japan as guest instructor, is an aesthetic surgeon based in Peru who provides technical instruction in a number of countries, and is one of the developers of RIBXCAR and FRONTXRIB. Based on the idea that "a beautiful body line is determined not only by the amount of fat but by skeletal structure," he established a method that approaches the shape of the ribs. His Instagram account (@drmanzaneda) has more than two million followers, through which he shares information on cases and surgical techniques with aesthetic surgeons in various countries. This seminar offers the opportunity to receive instruction directly from one of the developers.
■ RIBXCAR専用コルセットを公開 ～アジア人の体型に合わせて開発～
今回の3rd Editionでは、アジア人の体型を考えて開発された RIBXCAR 専用コルセットを公開します。術後の固定・圧迫は、RIBXCARにおいて経過を左右する重要な工程です。本コルセットは、欧米人と骨格プロポーションが異なるアジア人の体型に合わせて設計されており、セミナーではアジア人の骨格に合わせた着用方法の講習も受けていただけます。手技そのものだけでなく、術後管理までを含めた一連のプロトコルを習得できる点が、本エディションの特長です。
At this 3rd Edition, a dedicated RIBXCAR corset, developed with Asian body proportions in mind, will be presented. Post-operative fixation and compression is an important step that affects the post-operative course in RIBXCAR. This corset has been designed for Asian body proportions, which differ in skeletal proportion from Western ones, and the seminar will include training on how it should be fitted and worn for Asian skeletal structures. The ability to acquire the full protocol, not only the surgical technique itself but also post-operative management, is a feature of this edition.
■ RIBXCAR（肋骨リモデリング術）とFRONTXRIB（前肋骨形成術）
RIBXCAR（リブスカー）は、脂肪吸引や筋力トレーニングとは異なり、骨格へのアプローチによるボディライン形成を目的とした美容外科手術です。第10・11・12肋骨の角度を調整することで、ウエストラインの形成を図ります。点滴針ほどの微小な針穴からアプローチし、開いた肋骨アーチを整えることで、脂肪の量や筋肉の発達に左右されにくいシルエットづくりを目指す術式と考えられています。
FRONTXRIB（前肋骨形成術）は、前面の肋骨にアプローチする手技で、正面から見たときのシルエットやみぞおち周辺のラインを整える目的で用いられます。RIBXCARと組み合わせることで、側面・正面の両方向からボディラインを設計することが可能となります。
いずれも全身麻酔下で行う外科手術であり、内出血、腫れ、痛み、感染などのリスクを伴います。本セミナーでは、これらのリスク管理と症例選択基準についても取り扱います。

RIBXCAR is an aesthetic surgical procedure that, unlike liposuction or muscle training, aims to shape the body line through an approach to the skeletal structure. By adjusting the angle of the 10th, 11th and 12th ribs, it aims to shape the waistline. The approach is made through micro-punctures roughly the size of an intravenous needle, and by reshaping a widened rib arch it is considered to be a technique that aims to create a silhouette less dictated by the volume of fat or the degree of muscular development.
FRONTXRIB (Anterior Rib Contouring) is a technique that approaches the anterior ribs, used to refine the frontal silhouette and the lines around the epigastric region. Combined with RIBXCAR, it allows the body line to be designed from both the lateral and frontal perspectives.
Both are surgical procedures performed under general anesthesia and carry risks including bruising, swelling, pain and infection. The seminar also addresses the management of these risks and the criteria for case selection.
