台湾の新世代アーティスト24名が福岡に集結、第1回「九州国際新世代アートフェア KINGAF 2026」開催

「新たな領域 HORIZON」をテーマに、日台の芸術文化交流を創出

2026年10月2日（金）から10月5日（月）まで、福岡市・天神のONE FUKUOKA BLDG.および今泉のSIGNAL GALLERYにて、第1回「九州国際新世代アートフェア KINGAF 2026」を開催します。

第1回となる今回は、「新たな領域 HORIZON ― 芸術を通して、新たな視点と未来をひらく。」をテーマに、台湾を中心に活動する新世代アーティスト24名の作品を福岡で紹介します。

「HORIZON」を通して、多様な視点が交差する

本展では、「HORIZON」を共通の創作テーマとしながらも、その解釈や表現を各アーティストに委ねています。

「HORIZON」は、単なる風景としての地平線ではなく、未知の世界への探求、人生の軌跡、文化や都市に刻まれた記憶、未来への想像など、私たちを取り巻く世界を見つめ直すための象徴です。

異なる文化的背景や人生経験を持つ24名のアーティストが、それぞれの視点から「HORIZON」を表現します。一つのテーマを起点に、多様な表現が一つの空間に集うことで、日本と台湾の新たな芸術的対話を生み出すことを目指します。

5名の参加アーティストが来福、来場者との交流も

本展では、作品展示に加え、アーティスト本人と来場者が直接交流できる機会を設けます。

会期中には、参加アーティストのうち5名が訪れ、会場で来場者と交流する予定です。

来場するアーティストは、現代社会と人間・環境の関係をテーマに制作する黄于珊（コウウサン）、日本画・膠彩を中心に自然や人物を繊細に描く林葳（Ivy）、神話やポップカルチャーを取り入れた幻想的な世界を描くJeffrey、海や森、大地など自然と生命の循環をテーマに制作するMaggie、日常の中の小さな感覚や夢を油彩やクレヨンで表現するMitsukoの5名です。

それぞれ異なる文化的背景と表現言語を持つアーティストが、作品だけでなく自身の言葉を通して創作の背景や考えを伝えることで、来場者が作品をより身近に感じられる機会を創出します。

特に10月2日（金）には、コレクター、企業関係者、芸術・文化関係者などを対象としたVIPプレビューを開催します。作品を起点とした直接的な交流を通じて、アーティストと鑑賞者、コレクター、関係者との新たなつながりを生み出すことを目指します。

福岡・天神と今泉の2会場で開催

メイン会場は、福岡・天神の「ONE FUKUOKA BLDG.」6階 Presentation Room 1。約243平方メートルの展示空間に、参加アーティストの作品を紹介します。

サテライト会場には、福岡・今泉の「SIGNAL GALLERY」を使用します。「Art × Music × Culture」をコンセプトとする同スペースでは、作品展示を通して、より日常に近い環境の中でアートと来場者が出会う場を創出します。

性格の異なる2つの会場を活用することで、展示空間だけにとどまらず、福岡の都市文化や日常の中で台湾の現代アートに触れる機会を提供します。

日本と台湾をつなぐ芸術文化プラットフォームへ

「KINGAF」は、芸術を文化交流の媒体として、日本と台湾を継続的につなぐ芸術文化プラットフォームの構築を目指しています。

展覧会の開催を通じて、アーティスト、鑑賞者、コレクター、企業、文化関係者など、さまざまな立場の人々が出会い、交流する機会を創出します。

第1回となる「KINGAF 2026」が、台湾の新世代アーティストによる多様な表現を福岡から発信するとともに、日本と台湾の芸術文化交流をさらに広げる契機となることを目指します。

The 1st Kyushu International Next-Generation Art Fair (KINGAF 2026)

The 1st Kyushu International Next-Generation Art Fair (KINGAF 2026) will be held from Friday, October 2 to Monday, October 5, 2026, at the ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. in Tenjin and SIGNAL GALLERY in Imaizumi, Fukuoka City.

Under the theme "HORIZON: Unveiling New Perspectives and Futures Through Art," this inaugural edition will introduce the works of 24 next-generation artists, primarily based in Taiwan, to Fukuoka.

Where Diverse Perspectives Intersect Through "HORIZON"

While "HORIZON" serves as the shared creative theme for this exhibition, the interpretation and expression of the concept are left to each individual artist. Rather than representing a literal landscape, "HORIZON" stands as a symbol for re-examining the world around us—exploring the unknown, tracing life journeys, reflecting on memories carved into cultures and cities, and imagining the future.

24 artists with diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences will express their own interpretations of "HORIZON." By bringing a multiplicity of expressions into a single space around a shared theme, the exhibition aims to ignite a new artistic dialogue between Japan and Taiwan.

5 Participating Artists Visiting Fukuoka & Interacting with Visitors

In addition to the art exhibition, the event offers opportunities for visitors to engage directly with the artists. During the exhibition period, five of the participating artists are scheduled to visit Fukuoka and interact with visitors at the venue.

The visiting artists are:

Huang Yu-Shan (黄于珊): Focuses on themes exploring the relationship between modern society, humans, and the environment.

Lin Wei (Ivy / 林葳): Delicately depicts nature and human figures through Japanese painting (Nihonga) and mineral pigments (Gousai).

Jeffrey: Creates fantastical worlds incorporating mythology and pop culture.

Maggie: Explores the cycles of nature and life through themes of oceans, forests, and the earth.

Mitsuko: Expresses subtle everyday sensations and dreams using oil paint and crayons.

These artists, each with unique cultural backgrounds and artistic languages, will share their creative processes and thoughts through their own words, creating an opportunity for visitors to connect with the works on a deeper, more personal level.

In particular, an exclusive VIP Preview will take place on Friday, October 2, tailored for collectors, corporate representatives, and cultural sector professionals. Through direct exchanges centered on art, the event aims to build new connections between artists, audiences, collectors, and industry leaders.

Hosted Across Two Venues in Fukuoka: Tenjin and Imaizumi

The main venue will be Presentation Room 1 on the 6th floor of ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. in Tenjin, Fukuoka. The participating artists' works will be showcased in an exhibition space of approximately 243 square meters.

SIGNAL GALLERY in Imaizumi, Fukuoka, will serve as the satellite venue. Built around the concept of "Art × Music × Culture," this space provides an opportunity for art to meet visitors in a relaxed, everyday environment.

By utilizing two venues with distinct characteristics, the fair offers visitors a chance to experience Taiwanese contemporary art not only within a formal exhibition space, but also within the urban culture and daily life of Fukuoka.

Building an Arts and Cultural Platform Connecting Japan and Taiwan

KINGAF aims to build a sustainable cultural platform that connects Japan and Taiwan through the medium of art. Through this exhibition, we seek to create opportunities for people from various backgrounds—including artists, visitors, collectors, businesses, and cultural figures—to meet and exchange ideas.

As the inaugural event, KINGAF 2026 aims to broadcast the diverse expressions of Taiwan's next generation of artists from Fukuoka, while serving as a catalyst to further expand artistic and cultural exchange between Japan and Taiwan.
