Presented by Torch Experience IsePhotography by photomar
Just one minute from Sarutahiko Shrine, a private cultural experience in Ise is quietly attracting visitors from around the world.
Rather than simply renting a kimono or booking a photoshoot, guests spend an entire day enjoying Japanese culture at a relaxed pace.
Kimono rental, professional dressing, hair styling, portrait photography, and time to visit the shrine are all thoughtfully arranged in one seamless experience.
Portraits are created by photomar, a reservation-only portrait studio hidden within a peaceful woodland setting.
After the session, guests enjoy approximately two hours exploring Sarutahiko Shrine, Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku), and the historic streets of Okage Yokocho, all dressed in traditional kimono.

A More Relaxed Way to Experience Japan
Travel means different things to different people.
Some visitors enjoy planning every detail.
Others simply hope to slow down, wear a beautiful kimono, and spend meaningful time discovering Japan.
Torch Experience Ise was created for those travelers.
Everything is prepared in one place, making the experience simple, comfortable, and completely private.
The experience includes:
・Authentic antique kimono (many over 100 years old)
・Professional kimono dressing
・Elegant hair styling
・Fine art portrait photography
・Carefully edited high-resolution photographs
・Around 120 minutes to explore Ise in kimono
・Secure luggage storage
Guests simply arrive, change into kimono, enjoy their portrait session, and continue their day exploring Ise.

More Than a Photoshoot
The experience continues long after the camera is put away.
Walking beneath the trees of Sarutahiko Shrine.
Praying together at Ise Grand Shrine.
Wandering through the historic streets of Okage Yokocho.
The portraits become lasting memories.
But for many guests, it is the feeling of the day itself that stays with them long after they return home.

Photography by photomar
Every portrait is created by photomar, a private portrait studio hidden within a peaceful 7,000㎡ woodland property in Ise.
For more than fifteen years, photomar has photographed Japanese families celebrating weddings, children's milestones, coming-of-age ceremonies, and many of life's most meaningful occasions.
Known for its natural light, quiet atmosphere, and timeless style, the studio has become a destination for guests traveling from both Japan and overseas.
Rather than directing every pose, photomar focuses on creating photographs that feel honest, natural, and deeply personal.
