英国不滅のTHE BEATLES, UKロック, Jロック デザイン「MUSIC SMARTPHONE CASE」、スマートフォン「アンドロイド」系 端末用ケース初登場！キャリア端末ショップで販売！
同商品は、iPhoneシリーズのケースとして大変人気があり、ビートルズを始めとした英国のミュージシャンを中心に40タイトル以上展開されており、2012年７月末現在、3万個以上の販売実績のある商品です。
この度、NTTドコモの「ギャラクシーSⅢ」の販売に合わせ、当シリーズ中で販売数量の半数を占める人気の高い10タイトルを厳選し、ギャラクシーケースとしては、国内で初めてティーガイアが先行独占販売を行うこととなりました。
商品発売元であるICAは、米IDC公表市場調査（※）によるとスマートフォンにおいて 、iOSおよびアンドロイド端末のシェア比率について、海外では圧倒的にアンドロイドの比率が高く、2012年第2四半期ではアンドロイド 68.1％に対して iOSが16.9％であることと、国内においても2010年に、アンドロイドがiOSシェアを抜き成長していることを受け、この度、アンドロイド端末における人気機種、「ギャラクシーS3」向けのケースをリリースするに至りました。
◎取扱いケースの内容について
【2012年ロンドン五輪、ビートルズの絵柄】
当ケースは、ビートルズの有名なアルバム・ジャケット７枚をデザインしたものを中心に 10タイトルを発売。本年７月27日、ロンドン五輪開会式のパフォーマンス締めに ビートルズの「ヘイ・ジュード」をポール・マッカートニーが歌唱し、会場全員が合唱しましたが、ビートルズは英国のみならず世界を代表する‘エバーグリーン‘（時を経ても色褪せない不朽の）アーティストです。（※ 洋楽はビートルズの他、キングクリムゾン、邦楽ではLUNA SEAとブルーハーツをラインナップ。 今後、ICAとしては、洋楽ではQUEEN、David Bowie他、邦楽も追加タイトルを拡充リリース予定です。）
◎音楽習慣の変化
現在、音楽を楽しむ習慣は サマー・フェスティバル等のイベントやコンサートと、携帯型端末の２通りに集約されてきています。1990年代まではリビングに定着していたステレオ・オーディオ機器に代わり、音楽機器の主役はポータブル・ディバイスに移った訳ですが、その後、7年前に日本国内も席巻したディバイスのiPodに代わって、今やスマートフォンが音楽ディバイスの主流となっています。

“MUSIC SMARTPHONE CASE” of iPhone is already very popular, with the sales record over 30,000 units with more than 40 titles including THE BEATLES and other UK musicians.
T-GAIA will exclusively launch the initial sales of popular 10 titles for the first time in Japan, upon the launch of GALAXY SⅢ from NTT DoCoMo. Highly-selected 10 titles account for half of the total sales volume.
From IDC(US) investigation(*), ICA, the distributor, revealed the facts that the overseas smartphone share ratio of Android terminals is predominantly larger than iOS, and it marked 68.1% to 16.9% in the fourth quarter of 2012. In Japan, too, Android overtook iOS share in 2010. The investigation as such triggered the release of terminal case for a popular GALAXY SⅢ.
◎Terminal cases
2012 London Olympics and THE BEATLES
ICA will distribute the total of 10 titles, mainly THE BEATLES’ seven famous album jackets. As Paul McCartney sung “Hey Jude” at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics on July 27th, THE BEATLES is an “evergreen (eternal and everlasting)” artist both in UK and elsewhere in the world. (※The lineups of Western musicians on the smartphone covers will be THE BEATLES and King Crimson, whereas the Japanese musicians will be LUNA SEA and Blue Hearts. ICA is planning to release additional titles including QUEEN, David Bowie, and other Japanese titles.)
◎Changes in the music life
The ways in which people enjoy music are two types; participating music events such as summer festivals or going to concerts, and using portable terminals. Instead of music stereos and audio gadgets that sit in living rooms of every household in the 1990s, the main music gadget today is portable devices. It was just seven years ago when iPod swept the Japanese market, but recently, smartphones are the main music devices.
Under such circumstances, the demand for smartphone cases rose sharply to protect smartphone terminals, which in turn brought about a new fashion of collecting smartphone cases. Young to the middle-aged and elderly users enjoy downloading digital contents of their favorite artists’ wallpapers and music files to their terminal folders to appreciate the music.
