日本産さつまいもの輸出用段ボールが『Pentawards 2023』にて金賞を受賞＜English Follows＞

2度の受賞を受けた輸出用段ボールで2023年シーズンも継続して輸出中

Wismettacフーズ株式会社（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長：辻󠄀川 弘、以下 Wismettac フーズ）が主にタイ、香港、シンガポール向けに輸出販売している「日本産さつまいも」の輸出用段ボールがパッケージデザインに特化した、世界で最も権威のあるコンペティションといわれるペントアワード 2023の食品部門にて金賞を受賞 (*1) しました。

Wismettacフーズは、2030 年までに農林水産物・食品の輸出額を５兆円とする政府目標の達成に向け、「オールジャパン」の取組のもと海外で高く評価される日本産青果物の輸出強化を進めております。

日本産のさつまいも（かんしょ）は「焼きいも」ブームなどから海外マーケットからのニーズが高まっており、輸出額は増加傾向にあります。政府はさつまいもを輸出重点品目として設定しており、2025年までに輸出額28億円を目指すこととしています。2023年6月に農林水産省が発表した「かんしょをめぐる状況について」の資料 (*2) では、さつまいもは甘みが強いことから海外でも人気があり、2022年の輸出額は野菜の中ではいちごに次いで第２位の27.9億円（輸出量は5,849ｔ）となっています。しかし、出荷段階では腐敗が認められないさつまいもが、海上輸送中等で低温に遭遇することにより、輸出先国に到着した時に腐敗しているケースが多く発生しており、輸出拡大において課題となっています。

Wismettacフーズは、日本青果物輸出促進協議会が実施した、令和３年度補正「品目団体輸出力強化緊急支援事業」の大規模かんしょ輸出確立実証事業内にて、レンゴー株式会社（本社：大阪市北区、代表取締役社長：川本 洋祐）、株式会社野村総合研究所（本社：東京都千代田区、代表取締役会長 兼 社長：此本 臣吾）、東京青果株式会社（本社：東京都大田区、代表取締役社長：川田 光太）と共に輸出用の最適な包材規格の設計・試験導入を目的として、輸出用段ボールを企画・制作いたしました。

今回受賞した輸出用段ボールは、機能面において輸出向けの大規模選果場に最適化した設計による効率化、そして、1枚単位で個体識別可能な情報を印刷することによりトレーサビリティ対応可能な段ボールとなっており、産地偽造品への対抗や区別化が可能です。また、機能面だけでなくデザイン面においても、日本らしいマンガやアニメのイメージを用いたデザインで、既存の日本産品と比べても輸出先国にて目を引く色合いである点が特徴です。

本デザインの輸出用段ボールは2022年8月の初輸出後、引き続き2023年シーズンも輸出を継続しています。Wismettac フーズの日本産さつまいもの輸出では、日本産青果物の価値向上に向け、産地と連携して独自の輸出用段ボールデザインで展開してまいりました。

Innovative Japanese Sweet Potato Export Carton Box won Gold at Pentawards 2023

Japanese sweet potatoes, known as "Satsuma-imo," have gained immense popularity in Southeast Asian markets, driven by the "Yaki-imo" as baked sweet potato trend.
