ナイジェリアにて大型肥料プラント第３トレインを完工＜English follows＞

東洋エンジニアリング株式会社（代表取締役 取締役社長 CEO　細井 栄治、以下TOYO）は、Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited*¹と親会社を同一とする兄弟会社Indorama Fertilizer FZE向けにナイジェリア連邦共和国リバース州における肥料プラントを完工しました。

TOYOはこれまで同地区における同顧客向けの肥料プラントの第1トレインを2017年に、続いて第２トレインを2021年に完工しており、今回はそれらに続く３件目の完工となります。

本第3トレインは、先行案件と同様、日産2,300トンのアンモニアプラントと、世界最大規模となる日産4,000トンの尿素プラント、ユーティリティ設備で構成され、既存プラントの隣接地に建設するものです。アンモニアは米国Kellogg Brown & Root、尿素はTOYOのライセンスACES21™*²が採用され、TOYOは、尿素プラントの尿素ライセンス供与と基本設計、アンモニアプラント・ユーティリティ設備を含む肥料プラント全体の詳細設計、調達、建設工事サポート、試運転サポートを担当しました。

今回完工した第3トレインでは、TOYOのインド子会社であるToyo Engineering India Private Limited（社長：川原 崇, 以下 Toyo-India）が主な設計を担当し、調達についてはToyo-Indiaをはじめとする、TOYOグループのグローバルオペレーション体制の下で遂行されました。先行プロジェクトで得られた知見を最大限に活用するとともに、実績あるACES21™技術の採用により、スムーズに安定した運転立ち上げを実現しました。

TOYOは、尿素技術のライセンサーとして培ってきた技術力を通して、TOYOグループ全体でナイジェリアをはじめとするアフリカの食糧供給安定化に貢献していくとともに、今後も世界各国のニーズに応えていきます。

TOYO Completes Third Line Fertilizer Project in Nigeria

 

Toyo Engineering Corporation (President and CEO: Eiji Hosoi,  "TOYO") has completed a fertilizer plant project in Rivers State, Federal Republic of Nigeria, for Indorama Fertilizer FZE, a fellow subsidiary of Indorama Eleme Fertilizer & Chemicals Limited*¹, both of which are subsidiaries of the same parent company.

TOYO previously completed the first fertilizer line for the same client in 2017 and the second line in 2021 at the same site. The newly completed project represents the third fertilizer line delivered by TOYO.

Third Line Fertilizer Project in Nigeria

Like the preceding projects, the third line consists of a 2,300 metric tons per day ammonia plant, a 4,000 metric tons per day urea plant, one of the world's largest single-line urea facilities, and associated utility facilities. The plant has been constructed adjacent to the existing fertilizer complex. The ammonia plant utilizes technology licensed by Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR), USA, while the urea plant employs TOYO's proprietary ACES21™ *2, urea synthesis technology. TOYO was responsible for licensing the urea technology and providing Basic Engineering for the urea plant, as well as Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction support and Commissioning support for the entire fertilizer plant including the ammonia plant and utility facilities.

For this third line project, most Engineering was executed by TOYO's subsidiary in India, Toyo Engineering India Private Limited (Managing Director: Takashi Kawahara, "Toyo-India"), and Procurement activities were executed mainly by Toyo-India, under the TOYO Group's global execution framework. Leveraging extensive experience gained from the preceding projects and the proven performance of ACES21™ technology, the project achieved a smooth start-up and stable plant operation.

As a licensor of urea technologies, TOYO remains committed to contributing to the stabilization of food supply in Africa, including Nigeria, through the technological capabilities cultivated over many years.
