◾️本特許の背景、解決する課題

本発明の目的は、海を愛するダイバーとダイビングチームの命を守ることにあります。

海洋は、巨大なポテンシャルを秘めたフロンティア。
しかし、２０２２年の日本での水難事故における死亡・行方不明率は44.3%（警察庁）、同年の交通事故の死亡率0.9%と比較しても非常に高いものになっています。海洋で流されたり逸れたりした場合、GPS付きのデバイスを持っていれば自分の位置は測定できますが、自分の位置を相手に伝えることができません。そのことから、たとえば船がダイバーを見失う、ダイバーが違うチームについて行って逸れる、強い流れに流されて逸れるといった事故が起きた場合、位置の特定が難しいことから、捜索に時間がかかり、救命率を下げる要因となっています。

今回の発明は、ダイバー側と管制塔側の２つのユーザーグループを想定し、位置情報と履歴をクラウドを通じてリアルタイム把握することのできる新情報システムです。このことにより、水難事故における救命率を上げることを目的としています。

◾️発明の概要

ダイバー側はスマートウォッチ、管制塔側はスマートフォンを使用し、独自開発のアプリケーションによって情報取得と通信を制御します。

ダイバーの安全管理において、本技術は以下のような特徴をもちます。

1. 事前にダイバー側・管制塔側のアカウントを設定
位置情報は個人情報にあたるため、ダイバーと管理者側は、情報をどのアカウントに対してどのくらいの期間共有するか、緊急連絡先などを設定することができます。

２. ダイビングにおける３つのポイントを把握
ダイバーはアプリケーションを搭載したウェアラブルデバイスを身につけて潜るだけです。アプリが自動的に水面・水中モードを切り替え、位置情報の送信を実施します。
位置情報は３つのポイントを取得します。
①エントリー：ダイバーが水中に潜行した時の座標と時刻
②エグジット：ダイバーが水面に浮上した時の座標と時刻
③現在位置：浮上後、万が一漂流した場合の現在位置

3.管制塔側は複数のダイバーの位置情報をひと目で確認
管制塔側は、上記３つのポイントをリアルタイムで把握できます。
これにより、現在、それぞれのダイバーがダイブ中なのか、浮上後なのかがわかります。また、浮上したダイバーがチームと一緒にいるのか、離れた位置にいるのかがわかるため、位置情報をもとに船がピックアップに向かうことが可能になります。状況が悪い場合は位置情報をもとに救命部隊を呼ぶことができます。

４. 水中ではダイビングコンピューター
ダイバー側のウェアラブルデバイスは、水陸両方で、ダイビング時に付け替える必要はありません。水中に潜行すると自動的にダイビングコンピューターモードに切り替わり、ダイバーの減圧症予防に必要な水深・無限圧潜水時間・安全停止・浮上速度など必要なデータをわかりやすく表示、ダイビングログを記録します。

本発明は、レクリエーショナルダイバーのみならず、職業ダイバーの命を守る技術として社会実装します。さらには海洋ケーブル・海洋発電などの新しい海洋インフラ産業へ貢献できる技術として、大きな可能性を秘めています。

◾️Background of this patent, problem to be solved

The purpose of this invention is to save the lives of divers and diving teams who love the ocean. The ocean is a frontier with enormous potential. However, the death and missing in water accidents in Japan in 2022 is 44.3% (National Police Agency), which is very high compared to the 0.9% death rate in traffic accidents in the same year. If you are swept away or deviated at sea, you can measure your position if you have a device with GPS, but you cannot tell your position to others. Therefore, when accidents occur, such as a boat losing a diver, a diver following a different team, or a diver being swept away by a strong current, it is difficult to locate the diver's position, which makes the search time longer and reduces the lifesaving rate.

In this invention, a new information system that enables real-time location and history information to be obtained through the cloud, assuming two user groups, the divers and the control tower. By doing so, we aim to increase the life-saving rate in water accidents.

◾️ Invention Overview

The diver uses a smartwatch and the control tower uses a smart phone to control information acquisition and communication through a proprietary application.

In terms of diver safety management, this technology has the following features

1. Pre-set accounts on the diver and control tower

Since location information is personal information, the diver and the control tower can set which accounts the information will be shared with and for how long, emergency contact information, etc.

2. Three points of diving

Divers simply wear a wearable device equipped with the application and dive. The application automatically switches between surface and submerged modes and transmits location information.

Location information is acquired at three points.

(1) Entry: Coordinates and time when the diver goes underwater

(2) Exit: Coordinates and time when the diver surfaces to the surface

(3) Current position

3. The control tower can check the position information of multiple divers at a glance

The control tower can grasp the above three points in real time.

This allows the control tower to know whether each diver is currently diving or has surfaced. It also shows whether the diver who has surfaced is with the team or at a distance so that the boat can proceed to pick up the diver based on the location information. If the situation is bad, the location information can be used to call for a rescue team.

4. Diving computer underwater

Wearable devices on the diver's side, both on land and in the water, do not need to be replaced when diving. When the device goes underwater, it automatically switches to the diving computer mode and displays necessary data such as depth, infinite pressure dive time, safety stop, and surfacing speed, which are necessary to prevent decompression sickness in divers, in an easy-to-understand manner, and records a dive log.

This invention will be implemented in society as a technology to protect the lives of not only recreational divers but also professional divers. Furthermore, it has great potential as a technology that can contribute to new marine infrastructure industries such as marine cables and marine power generation.
