About TECHNIUM Global Conference

TECHNIUM Global Conference is an invite-only deep tech conference launched in 2025. It convenes leading researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, corporate executives, and government leaders from Japan and around the world to accelerate cross-sector collaboration within the deep tech ecosystem.

A defining feature of TECHNIUM is its deliberate focus on creating substantive engagement rather than superficial networking. Through a dedicated pre-event matchmaking platform, participants can connect and schedule meetings in advance, enabling focused and purpose-driven discussions. This structured approach ensures that even within a limited timeframe, the conference facilitates in-depth dialogue and concrete collaboration planning.

TECHNIUM Global Conference 2025 Highlights

TECHNIUM Global Conference 2025 welcomed over 2,000 invited attendees and served as a rare offline venue in Japan where more than 500 cutting-edge research seeds or technologies were showcased. The conference facilitated meaningful connections among diverse stakeholders, including researchers, startups, investors, and corporations.

Supported by pre-event matchmaking and on-site meetings, booth reservation rates for business meetings exceeded 90%, while the overall attendance rate to the conference reached 76%, demonstrating strong execution and engagement.

In a survey conducted six months after the event, approximately 40% of respondents reported that TECHNIUM led to concrete progress toward collaboration, PoCs, hiring, or fundraising. Dialogue among participants continued beyond the conference day and has since evolved into deeper collaboration discussions.

Scenes From Last Year’s Conference

About TECHNIUM Global Conference 2026

The TECHNIUM Global Conference Organizing Committee aims to establish TECHNIUM as a community hub that leads deep tech across Asia.

In its second edition in 2026, TECHNIUM will not only serve as a platform to build connections, but we will also place greater emphasis on designing the conference to foster in-depth dialogue oriented toward co-creation and to generate concrete next actions.

Program Overview

  • Connections That Cultivate Co-creation and Innovation
Building on the positive feedback from 2025, we will further enhance our matchmaking feature and aim to have 1.5 times more matches than last year. We will make attendees’ profiles available online about one month before the conference, enabling participants to schedule meetings in advance and prepare purpose-driven conversations that pave the way for future co-creation.

  • Capturing Deep Tech Ecosystem’s Key Trends
At the main hall of the venue, leading ecosystem builders from Japan and overseas will engage in various discussions, while international players will share frontier deep tech trends.

The program will also feature highly specialized discussions on growth strategy themes with a global outlook. Reflecting domestic and international trends, these sessions will explore key issues for social implementation across areas of growing interest, including advanced and foundational technologies, digital and information infrastructure, industry, mobility and logistics, energy, resources and green transformation (GX), biotechnology, healthcare and food, and security and national resilience.

  • Deep Dive: Key Issues for Real-World Implementation

We will convene small-group roundtables on themes, including government and finance, to enable candid and practical discussions.

To advance the deep tech ecosystem, we will identify core challenges, define key discussion points, and go further to explore directions for recommendations –including policy and regulatory proposals–as well as align on the conditions required for cross-sector collaboration.
