リボルナバイオサイエンス、キッセイ薬品との共同研究で最初のマイルストンを達成：Reborna Achieves First Milestone in Collaboration with Kissei

株式会社リボルナバイオサイエンス（本部：神奈川県藤沢市、代表取締役：富士晃嗣、以下、「リボルナ」）は、2025 年 9月 29日付で、キッセイ薬品工業株式会社（本社：長野県松本市、代表取締役会長兼最高経営責任者：神澤陸雄、以下、「キッセイ薬品」）との間で締結している希少疾患領域における創薬共同研究契約において、初回マイルストンを達成しましたので、ご報告いたします。

■今回のマイルストン達成

今回達成したマイルストンは、2024年9月9日に締結した「共同研究契約」に基づくもので、開始から1年で成果に結びつけることが出来ました。

初回マイルストン達成により、リボルナはキッセイ薬品よりマイルストン収入と次回ステージの研究費用を受領します。リボルナでは引き続き、ヒト生体内に実在する全長・３次元構造RNAを用いた独自創薬基盤技術を活用し、ヒト生体内で有効な高い結合活性とRNA選択性示す臨床候補低分子化合物の同定に向けて、着実に研究開発を進めてまいります。

Reborna Achieves First Milestone in Research Collaboration with Kissei

Reborna Biosciences, Inc. (“Reborna”), a biotech startup pioneering RNA-targeting small molecule therapeutics, today announced that it has achieved the first research milestone under its ongoing collaboration with Kissei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“Kissei”). The milestone was reached as part of a joint research agreement signed on September 9, 2024, and focused on discovering novel therapeutics for rare diseases.

Within just one year of initiating the collaboration, the partnership has successfully delivered its first set of research results, triggering the associated milestone payment from Kissei. Reborna will also receive research funding for the next phase of the collaboration.

Building on this achievement, Reborna will continue to advance its research, leveraging its proprietary platform based on full-length, three-dimensional human RNA structures, aiming to identify clinical candidate small molecules with significant outcomes based on high binding affinity and remarkable RNA selectivity.
