Leading Startup Square「タイビジネス実践ツアー」を開催　“Thai Business Practical Tour”

～タイ進出、パートナーシップ連携、資金調達を目指して～ [~Aiming to expand business, form partnerships and fundraising~]

Leading Startup Square（本社：〒135-0061 東京都江東区豊洲三丁目2番24号豊洲フォレシア10階、代表取締役：御幡勇気、以下、LSSという）は2024年12月2日（月）～12月4日（水）に「タイビジネス実践ツアー」を実施致しました。

本ツアーは、形式的な訪問・視察ではなく具体的なビジネス目標を持つ企業様の為の"実践的プログラム"となっており、特に「タイ進出のサポート」・「現地企業とのアライアンス」・「現地企業や財閥からの資金調達」・「M&Aを視野に入れた市場調査と企業連携の可能性を探る」といった4つの目的（趣旨）のもとで、参加企業を募りました。

以下、活動報告となります。

Leading Startup Square (LSS) successfully concluded its Thailand Business Practical Tour, held from December 2nd to 4th in 2024.

This tour was designed as a practical program for companies with specific business objectives, rather than a formal visit or inspection.

We recruited participating companies under four main purposes:

• Supporting expansion into the Thai market

• Forming alliances with local companies in Thailand

• Securing funding from local enterprises and conglomerates in Thailand

• Exploring market research and potential corporate partnerships with a view toward M&A

All spots were filled within a week, and a total of 15 companies, including promising Japanese startups, participated in this tour.

The following is a report on the activities.

♦Day １Highlights

JETRO(JETRO Bangkok)

日本貿易振興機構のバンコク事務所で、タイと日本の貿易・投資機関を支え、関係強化の上で重要な役割を担うJETRO Bangkok様では、現地スタッフより組織についての説明を受けたのち、参加企業全社が日本語にてピッチを実施。

＜目的＞

①支援活動についての知識獲得

②スタートアップ部署との情報交換

③ビジネスマッチングの促進

At the Bangkok office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), which plays a crucial role in supporting trade and investment relations between Thailand and Japan, participants received an overview of the organization from local staff.

Subsequently, all participating companies delivered presentations in Japanese.

＜Purpose＞

1. To gain insights into support activities of JETRO.

2. To exchange information with startup departments of JETRO.

3. To promote business matchmaking.

Quadriga Private Equity

タイのPEファンドで、タイ及び東南アジアも大手企業を対象に、合併や買収を含む成長資本投資に特化した投資・アドバイザリーサービスを提供。

社長始め、役員陣の前で参加企業全社がピッチを実施し各社のピッチ終了後には、即座にリレーション構築のための具体的な提案をいただき、大変有意義な時間となりました。

①Quadriga様のサービス内容を学ぶ

②大企業のニーズを把握

③クロスボーダーM&Aに関する情報交換

Quadriga is a Thai private equity firm specializing in growth capital and M&A advisory, startups presented their business strategies to executives, receiving immediate and constructive feedback, including partnership proposals.

1. To understand Quadriga’s service offerings.

2. To identify the needs of large corporations in Thailand.

3. To exchange information on cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

Sasin AFEEC

バンコク中心部にキャンパスを構えるチュラロンコン大学の経営大学院（ビジネススクール）では、新しく開設されたSasin Asian Family Enterprise & Entreneurship Center (SAFEEC)からタイのファミリービジネスについてのご講義を頂きました。

＜目的＞

①SASIN卒OB・タイファミリー企業とのネットワーキング

At Chulalongkorn University’s Sasin School of Management, located in central Bangkok, we attended a lecture on Thai family businesses presented by the newly established Sasin Asian Family Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Center (SAFEEC).

The lecture emphasized that innovation and cross-border collaboration are essential for future development and the speakers expressed a strong desire to continue fostering relationships between Japan and Thailand through events like this.

• Networking with Sasin alumni and Thai family businesses.

午前中から午後にかけて、事前にアポイントメントを取っていた各社が個別にタイの大企業や財閥を訪問。

The second day focused on direct engagement with local businesses and startup ecosystems:

Each participating companies had pre-scheduled appointments and visited major Thai corporations and conglomerates individually.

Techsauce様との共催ピッチイベント[Pitch Event with Techsauce]

タイおよび東南アジアのスタートアップエコシステムを推進するTechsauce。

DEPA（デジタル経済振興庁）やNIA（タイ国家イノベーション庁）にもご参加いただき、前半に参加企業全社によるピッチを実施、後半には名刺交換を通じたネットワーキングを行いました。

We co-hosted a pitch event with Techsauce, an organization dedicated to promoting the startup ecosystem in Thailand and Southeast Asia.

The event was attended by DEPA (Digital Economy Promotion Agency) and NIA (National Innovation Agency).

♦Day 3 Highlights

RISE

最終日の午前中の初めのプログラムでは、東南アジア最大のオープンイノベーションプラットフォームであるRISE様にて参加企業全社によるピッチを行いました。

②資金調達の実現

In the morning of the final day, we conducted presentations by all participating companies at RISE which is the largest open innovation platform in Southeast Asia.

RISE serves as a significant hub for fostering innovation and collaboration among startups and corporations in the region.

Engaging with such platforms is crucial for startups aiming to expand their networks and explore potential partnerships.

SCG(Siam Cement Group)

午後にはタイ大手王室財閥企業でセメントや建材の生産では東南アジアで最大規模の企業グループであるSCG様を訪問させていただき、冒頭においてSCG様からご紹介のプレゼンを受けたのち、参加企業全社からピッチ・意見交換を実施しました。

①SCG様からのリバースピッチと課題のヒアリング

②各事業部の理解促進

③資金調達の実現

④Pocや協業の可能性の議論

On the afternoon of the final day, we visited SCG, a leading Thai conglomerate specializing in cement and building materials production, and the largest in Southeast Asia.

After an introductory presentation by SCG, all participating companies delivered their pitches and engaged in discussions.

One Bangkok

投資総額32億米ドルのタイ最大級の民間開発プロジェクトであるOne Bangkok。

TCCグループ及びフレイザーズ・プロパティとの接点構築を目的に見学を実施。

Participating companies had the opportunity to explore One Bangkok, one of Thailand’s largest private real estate development projects with an investment of $3.2 billion.

The tour aimed to establish connections with the TCC Group and Frasers Property while gaining insights into the local development sector.

3日間の総括として、JETROバンコク様主催のピッチイベントに参加し、参加企業のうち13社が2分のショートピッチを実施。

終始、会場はにぎやかな雰囲気で、あらゆるタイ財閥企業と和やかな交流が各所で行われていました。

Over the program of three days, participating companies engaged in a pitch event hosted by JETRO Bangkok, where 13 companies presented two-minute short pitches.

The event was filled with a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere, fostering lively exchanges between the companies and representatives from various Thai conglomerates.

The occasion provided a valuable platform for building connections and exploring potential business opportunities in Thailand’s thriving market.

LSSは今後さらに国際的な展開を進め、各国への横展開を加速して参ります。
