Global Step Academyがアメリカの大学のバーチャルプログラムを日本に導入します

国際教育に特化するGlobal Step Academy(グローバルステップアカデミー)は、UCバークレーのバーチャルカレッジプレッププログラム（Virtual College Prep Program）を日本の学生に提供します。

バーチャル学習では世界中の学生が同じ教育を受けることができます。このサマープログラムは、日本の学生がアメリカの大学の本格的な教育を体験することが可能です。

授業はビジネスコミュニケーション、エンジニアリング、プログラミング、心理学、統計学など生徒に人気が高い科目を実施します。Zoomでのライブ授業や対話型ワークショップ、魅力的なテーマを題材とした課題で構成された、UCバークレーのバーチャルカレッジプレッププログラムを修了した学生は、UCバークレーから証明書を受け取り、近い将来の大学進学の基礎を築くことができます。

UCバークレーのカレッジバーチャルプログラムは、2023年7月11日〜7月22日、および8月1日〜8月12日まで開催します。ネイティブレベルの英語力（CEFR B2、EIKEN Pre1以上）を持つ14歳から18歳の学生が対象で、午前と午後に二つのセッションに分かれて行います。午前のセッションでは生徒がZoomを通じて3時間のライブレッスンに参加します。午後のセッションでは、UCバークレーのプラットフォーム（bCourses）で日々の課題を3〜4時間かけて完成させます。また、「バークリー教室」を使用して、生徒はトピックやプロジェクトについて対話するワークショップの参加も可能です。

Global Step Academy Bringing American College Virtual Program to Japan

International Education Group Global Step Academy is introducing UC Berkeley’s Virtual College Prep Program to Japanese students.

With virtual learning providing more opportunities for students to receive the same educational opportunities worldwide, this summer program means Japanese students can experience an authentic taste of college learning in the US. The program is conducted through live Zoom instruction, interactive workshops, and engaging course assignments, with subjects such as business communication, engineering, coding, psychology, statistics, and more. Students who complete UC Berkeley’s Virtual College Prep Program successfully will receive a certificate provided by UC Berkeley, laying the foundation for their college application journey in the near future. 

Global Step Academy with its recognised English education programs and education consulting services, aims to provide diverse and truly global educational choices for families in Japan, by introducing college summer programs, students will have a chance to have a deeper understanding of the subjects they are interested in, making their college choices a more targeted and confident one. 

UC Berkeley College Virtual Program runs from July 11 to July 22, 2023 and August 1 to August 12, 2023. It is suitable for students aged 14 to 18 years with a native level English (CEFR B2, EIKEN Pre1 and above). The program consists of 2 parts: Morning session where students attend Live lessons for 3 hours via Zoom; Afternoon session for 3 to 4 hours where students complete their daily assignments on UC Berkeley’s platform, bCourses. There are also workshops where students can participate in discussing topics and projects using “Berkely Classroom”.

“We want students in Japan to be well-informed and better prepared for college education overseas, UC Berkeley’s Virtual College Prep Program provides a perfect opportunity for international school students or other English-speaking students to have an early start,” says Michio Montgomery, CEO of Global Step Academy. “With our education consulting experience, we recognise the importance of good college summer programs and how they can help candidates stand out in college applications. But not every student has the opportunity to travel to the U.S. for the summer. Hence we brought in this Virtual College Prep Program to help students from Japan to gain the same advantage as American students could.”
