国際協力と地域が交わる特別イベント「アジア学院フレンズデー2026夏」を8月22日(土)に開催！

〜カンボジア出身卒業生トーク、ツリークライミング体験、オーガニックマルシェ＆1万冊の古本市が同時開催〜

学校法人アジア学院（所在地：栃木県那須塩原市）は、サポーターの皆さまや地域の方々にアジア学院の活動やコミュニティの魅力を深く知っていただき、交流を深めるイベント「アジア学院フレンズデー2026夏（ARI Friends Day Summer 2026）」を、2026年8月22日（土）に開催いたします。

当日は、持続可能な農村開発や多文化共生の学びを体験できる各種コンテンツをはじめ、子どもから大人まで楽しめる体験型アクティビティや地域連携マルシェなど、多様なプログラムをご用意しております。

■ 主なプログラム・見どころ

1. アジア学院卒業生トークセッション（サポーターの集い）

登壇者： ダナエッ・ハム（カンボジア出身 / 2010年アジア学院卒業生、現トレーニングアシスタント(研究科生)）

内容： アジア学院での学びと、卒業後に母国の農村地域で展開してきた草の根の取り組みについて語ります。初めてアジア学院を訪れる方も大歓迎のオープンな交流の場です。

2. ちょこっとファーム・フォレスト（ツリークライミング®体験）

内容： ロープと専用サドルを使い、安全に木登りを楽しめる体験型アクティビティ。6歳以上のお子様から大人まで、樹上の特別な景色を体験できます。

3.【同時開催①】大日向マルシェ

内容： 地域で循環する持続可能な暮らしを共に目指すオーガニックマルシェ。今回のフレンズデーでは、アジア学院の学生による手作りのお食事やオリジナルショップも出店予定です。

Special Event Connecting International Cooperation and Local Community: "ARI Friends Day Summer 2026" to be Held on Saturday, August 22!

~ Featuring a Talk by a Cambodian Graduate, Tree Climbing Experience, Organic Market, and Used Book Market with 10,000+ Books ~

Asian Rural Institute (Location: Nasushiobara, Tochigi Prefecture) will host "ARI Friends Day Summer 2026" on Saturday, August 22, 2026. This event offers supporters and local community members an opportunity to deepen their understanding of ARI’s activities, experience our unique community atmosphere, and foster meaningful connections.

On the day of the event, a diverse range of programs will be offered, including content to experience learning in sustainable rural development and multicultural coexistence, hands-on activities enjoyable for both children and adults, and a local collaborative market.

■ Main Programs & Highlights

1. ARI Graduate Talk Session (Supporters' Fellowship)

Speaker: Daneth Him (Cambodia / 2010 ARI Graduate, Current Training Assistant)

Content: Hear about her learning experience at ARI and her grass-roots initiatives in rural Cambodia after graduation. First-time visitors are warmly welcome to join this open fellowship gathering.

2. Chocotto Farm & Forest (Tree Climbing® Experience)

Content: A hands-on activity where participants can safely enjoy climbing trees using ropes and a specialized saddle. Anyone aged 6 and up—from children to adults—can experience a unique view from the treetops.

3. [Concurrent Event ①] Ohinata Marche

Content: An organic market where people collaboratively work toward a sustainable, circular local lifestyle. For this Friends Day, ARI students will also serve homemade meals and open original shops.

Content: Over 10,000 books donated from across Japan will be available, including bestsellers, paperbacks, picture books, art books, and more. Prices start at just 100 yen per book.
