フィリピン ジェネラルサントス市においての最先端農業開発基本合意書に調印

最終的には2000haの用地にて、米、野菜、果物、家畜等の生産、またそれに付帯する設備を設置し、地域経済の活性化や就労機会の創出を計画しています。

■最先端の農業開発

少なくとも200haから開始する農業においては、作物の生産技術以外にも、生産管理、物流、電力供給と大変多くの課題があり、これらを同時に解決しなければフィリピンの農業に未来はないと両者で結論づけ衛星を活用した農業開発を進めていくことに合意しました。

土地の状況把握から生産、出荷、流通、食卓までを衛星により一元管理を行うことで、日本基準での品質及び生産効率を確保し、食の安心・安全を守ります。

■日本市場をターゲットに

日本市場への参入を目指し、米、唐辛子、きゅうり、人参、玉ねぎ、ニンニク、マンゴ、ココナッツ等の生産だけでなくこれらを原材料とした独自の加工食品の生産も行います。

既に、唐辛子とココナッツ酢を活用した、「モンスターソース」、ココナッツ酢を活用した「ピクルス」の試作とマーケティングを終え量産体制を構築しています。

■日本の食糧供給のバックアップ体制構築

TAMは世界の食料供給の問題解決に関心を持ち事業を開始し今日まで事業を進めております。この度の農業開発に関する合意は、合弁事業での開発を前提としており、間接的ではありますが外国に自分で土地を保有して農業生産を行うことと同等の意味を持つと考えております。生産人口の減少が避けられない日本において、近年の米不足の様な状況が再び発生したとしても安心安全、そして安定的な供給体制を確保するように努めてまいります。

AQUIA, a businessman and large landowner in General Santos City, Philippines, regarding agricultural development utilizing cutting-edge technology.

Ultimately, they plan to cultivate 2000 hectares of land for the production of rice, vegetables, fruits, livestock, etc., and install related facilities, aiming to revitalize the local economy and create employment opportunities.

■Cutting-edge agricultural development

In agriculture, starting with at least 200 hectares, there are many challenges besides crop production technology, including production management, logistics, and power supply. Both parties concluded that there is no future for Philippine agriculture unless these issues are addressed simultaneously, and agreed to proceed with agricultural development utilizing satellite technology.

By centrally managing everything from land condition assessment to production, logistics, distribution, and delivery to the table using satellites, we will ensure quality and production efficiency according to Japanese standards and protect food safety and security.

■ Targeting the Japanese Market

Aiming to enter the Japanese market, we will produce not only rice, chili peppers, cucumbers, carrots, onions, garlic, mangoes, coconuts, etc., but also our own processed foods using these ingredients.

We have already completed the prototyping and marketing of "Monster Sauce," which utilizes chili peppers and coconut vinegar, and "Pickles," which uses coconut vinegar, and have established a mass production system.

■ Establishing a Backup System for Japan's Food Supply

TAM began its business with an interest in solving global food supply problems and has continued its operations to this day. This agreement regarding agricultural development is based on the premise of development through a joint venture, and although indirect, we believe it is equivalent to owning land and conducting agricultural production in a foreign country. In Japan, where a decline in the working population is unavoidable, we will strive to ensure a safe, secure, and stable supply system even if a situation like the recent rice shortage occurs again.
