株式会社テクノスルガ・ラボ（本社：静岡県静岡市、代表取締役社長：望月　淳、以下「テクノスルガ・ラボ」）と株式会社Epigeneron（本社：東京都中央区、代表取締役社長：藤井穂高、以下「Epigeneron」）は、この度、EpigeneronのORNi-PCR®法を応用し海洋生物を含む複数の生物種の遺伝子解析の効率化について、共同研究及びライセンス契約を締結いたしましたので、お知らせいたします。
 
ORNi-PCR®法とは、20塩基程度の短いRNAを利用して、PCR反応において標的とするDNA配列の増幅を阻害する技術です。ORNi-PCR®法を応用することにより、遺伝子変異、ゲノム編集細胞及びDNAメチル化の検出や、細菌叢解析等で優占種由来のPCR増幅を阻害することによる高精度化・低価格化等が可能です。今般、海洋生物等の遺伝子解析の際にORNi-PCR®法を応用した混入異物（DNA）の除去や遺伝子解析の高精度化を目指してEpigeneronとテクノスルガ・ラボが共同研究を実施することで、遺伝子解析において付加価値を有するサービスの展開が期待されています。

両社はこの共同研究を通じて、遺伝子解析における新たな価値の提供を実現してまいります。

Techno Suruga Laboratory and Epigeneron enter into joint research and licensing agreement for the optimization of NGS analysis by using ORNi-PCR®

Techno Suruga Laboratory Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture; President & Chief Executive Officer: Jun Mochizuki; “Techno Suruga Laboratory” hereafter) and Epigeneron, Inc (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & Chief Executive Officer: Hodaka Fujii; “Epigeneron” hereafter) have entered into a joint research and licensing agreement for the optimization of genomic analysis on multiple species including marine life with the application of Epigeneron’s ORNi-PCR®.

ORNi-PCR® is a technology that uses short RNA of around 20 bases to suppress the amplification of target DNA sequences in PCR reactions. The application of ORNi-PCR® enables the detection of genetic mutations, genome-edited cells, and DNA methylation, enhancing precision and reducing costs by suppressing dominant genera-derived PCR amplification in microbiome profiling in NGS analysis. This joint research to be conducted by Epigeneron and Techno Suruga Laboratory with the aim of eliminating contaminants (irrelevant DNA) and enhancing the precision of genetic analysis through the application of ORNi-PCR® when conducting genomic analysis of marine life, etc. is expected to lead to the provision of value-added services for genomic analysis.

Through this joint research, the two companies will provide new value in genomic analysis.
